Ideas Lab is structured with research and development teams comprised of members whose diverse technical skillsets and backgrounds allow us to comprehensively address a given project. We aim to deliver complete solutions for quantum technologies, from designing novel quantum materials, to developing sub-systems and assembling complete prototype devices.
Rydberg Sensor Project
Ideas Lab’s first project, the Rydberg Sensor Project, seeks to develop quantum sensor technology that will play a critical testing and measurement role with respect to 5G, radar and autonomous vehicles. Existing technologies face major limitations as users move to the higher frequencies n of the radio spectrum known as ‘millimetre waves.’ The Rydberg sensor is not subject to these limitations. The project focuses on opportunities with shorter development timelines to demonstrate the viability of the Ideas Lab model much more quickly.
